Levy Into World’s Top 75 With China Win

France’s Alexander Levy jumped from 102nd to 74th in the most recent Official World Golf Rankings thanks to his victory at the Volvo China Open on Sunday.

There was only one move in the Top 10, as American Justin Thomas supplanted Australia’s Adam Scott for the No. 10 spot, giving the US four of the top 10 golfers in the world.

Pablo Larrazabal, who finished third in China, also rose into the Top 100, climbing 16 spots from 106th to 90th. Larrazabal is up 65 positions on the year.  Tournament runner-up Dylan Frittelli of South Africa climbed from 123rd to 94th with his finish.

Race to Dubai

Levy also climbed to 11th in the Race to Dubai standings with his win in China. He now has 680,191 points in the year-long chase, which guarantees him a spot in the top 60 next fall. Players need a minimum of 490,188 points to qualify for the season-ending event.
