Four Tied Atop St. Jude Classic Lead

It’s a bit like trying to make the appetizer before your steak dinner taste like the best thing ever, but for the four men leading the St. Jude Classic after Round One, it sure is tasty.

Matt Every, Scott Brown , Stewart Cink, and Sebastian Munoz all shot a 6-under 64 on Thursday with Matt Jones and Charl Schwartzel both one stroke back.

Retief Goosen, a two-time US Open winner, is two strokes off the lead.

Brown has finished twice in the last month while Every hasn’t won on tour since 2014. Cink is 44 and won the British Open eight years ago.
