Dubuisson’s 64 Leads Dubai Through 54

Victor Dubuisson fired an 8-under 64 to take a 1-stroke lead into the final round of the DP World Tour Championship Saturday in Dubai.

Dubuisson has a 1-stroke lead over Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts and the UK’s Matthew Fitzpatrick and Tyrell Hatton. Dubuisson’s two previous wins on tour have been at the Turkish Airlines Open.

Dubuisson was 3-under through five holes thanks to an eagle 2 on the par-4 372-yard No. 5. He bogeyed No. 6 but bounced back with birdies on 8 and 9, and racked up for more between No. 14 and 18.

Colsaerts and Fitzpatrick each shot a 66 and Hatton recorded a 67 as the three are tied at 12-under. Fitzpatrick, who has shot 69-69-66, is the only golfer in the tournament to shoot three sub-70 rounds.

Day Two co-leader Francesco Molinari, Day One leader Lee Westwood, and Spain’s Rafa Cabrera Bello are all two strokes back at 11-under.

Cabrera Bello had the best round of the tournament to date, a 9-under 63. Cabrera Bello had back-to-back birdies five different times, including knocking down six birdies between No. 11 and No. 18.

Day Two co-leader Sergio Garcia staggered to a 2-over 74. He bogeyed three of his first four holes on Saturday, and was 4-over at the turn after double-bogeying No. 9. He managed to get three strokes back with birdies on 10, 14, and 15, but bogeyed 17.

Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson are among a group tied for 22nd at 5-under. Danny Willett bombed out with a 4-over 74 to fall to 51st.
